Meet the Owner:
Justin Dennis

My roots in the wood-processing industry began at an early age. My father founded Mr. Mulch in Canton, Ohio, in the late 1980s, and I went on to operate the business for more than ten years. For over three decades, our family served the community as a wood-waste recycling facility, processing logs, brush, and sawmill lumber into a variety of mulch and compost products.

I grew up working around heavy equipment and began operating skid steers during my early teenage years. Over time, I also gained extensive experience operating large commercial grinders and other specialized wood-processing equipment.

After the passing of my father and, a few years later, my uncle—both of whom played important roles in the business—along with the loss of several key employees, I made the difficult decision to sell Mr. Mulch. When considering my next career, forestry mulching felt like a natural fit for my equipment experience and background in wood-waste processing.

I started Stark & Summit Forestry Mulching with my father-in-law, Dan, to bring that experience directly to customers’ properties. Our goal is to provide the same dependable customer service, honest communication, and fair treatment that helped make Mr. Mulch a trusted part of the Canton community.

I look forward to building lasting relationships with our customers and helping property owners reclaim overgrown land, improve access, and get more use from their property.
